On Thursday January 31st 2019, Buber officially launched its ride-hailing app service in Kabul, Afghanistan. The app had been in testing since January 15th, 2019, where the platform successfully paired over 500 riders with drivers. Over three-thousand kilometers have been covered already.
This on demand car service facilitates commuters to request transport to or from their chosen destination point(s) through the use of their mobile platform has generated considerable interest.
Ride hailing is common and popular across the globe and has had some success in Afghanistan. Buber is differentiating itself from the market by introducing new safety features and standardization that their competitors do not.

Drivers must have to obtain two guarantors, proof of residence from “Wakil- e-Guzar” in addition to owning their vehicle and having a valid license. Accordingly, riders will be able to share their live location during the course of the ride with their family and friends as an added security feature.
“We have registered over 200 drivers in Kabul, and we are growing” said Zaheer Naeabkheil, Senior Marketing Manager for Buber. “The objective is to provide convenience and a peace of mind for the residents of Kabul whilst energizing the local economy.”
Buber also has taken the measure of developing an algorithm to standardize taxi fares. “The prices are fair and you receive convenience, security and peace of mind. It is an amazing value for the money” said Zaheer Naeabkheil, Sr. Manager at Buber.
